Glenwarrah Herefords & Brooksby Angus 2017 Sale Results

Well, what a lovely day weather wise to have our 10th On Property sale at “Brooksby”.  The sun was out and our bulls were in good sale condition.  We have always tried to present them in what we call ‘good working order’, as some of our Queensland clients like to take the bulls home and put them straight out with their cows.

Buyers from 3 states travelled to the sale. They came from Mortlake in Victoria, Gelantipy and Buchan in the Snowy’s, right up through NSW and then as far north as Taroom and Wandoan in Central Queensland. Many where repeat buyers which is very encouraging that they feel safe in buying our bulls.

Glenwarrah Herefords Sale Results

We had 28 Glenwarrah Hereford Bulls bulls on offer which presented as a great even team for the sale day.  The sale kicked off with spirited bidding right from Lot 1 – Glenwarrah Lockington K18 (son of Straithleigh Olgive F594 purchased in 2013 at the Strathleigh Hereford Stud’s Annual bull sale for $22,000).  Eventually  Chris Lisle of Tummel Herefords of Walcha secured Glenwarrah Lockington K18 for $14,000.
